A member of the mint family, lemon balm is a gentle and calming herb that helps restore the nervous system. Used traditionally for centuries to support cognitive function, recent clinical studies have validated its many uses, including its role in reducing depression, anxiety, and stress.

ORGANIC LINDEN (Tilia spp.)
BENEFITS

Linden, one of the most gentle nervines, is valued for its sedative properties which can help promote sleep, reduce anxiety, and calm restless nerves. Studies show that it promotes relaxation by mimicking the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that boosts mood and has a relaxing effect on the nervous system.

ORGANIC GINGER (Zingiber officinale)
BENEFITS

Though most well known for its role in supporting the digestive system including nausea, ginger is a versatile herb that warms and supports circulation. Ginger's anti-inflammatory properties also help support brain health and function, which includes increasing blood flow to the brain and improving vagus nerve function.

ORGANIC MILKY OAT TOPS (Avena sativa)
BENEFITS

Milky oats, harvested from the same plant that produces oatmeal, is a nervine that not only nourishes the nervous system, but repairs damage to the myelin sheath which covers our nerve fibers. Beyond this, the calming herb is also exceptionally rich in silica, calcium, chromium, and magnesium.

ORGANIC CHAMOMILE (Matricaria recutita)
BENEFITS

A gentle, yet powerful nervine, chamomile is used to help ease tension and invite sleep. It contains apigenin, an antioxidant that binds to receptors in your brain that may induce muscle relaxation and reduce insomnia. Because of its mild, yet sunny disposition, chamomile combined with ginger and lemon balm is also good for morning sickness and relieving digestive distress. Please note that persons with allergies to other members of the daisy (Asteraceae) family should exercise caution with chamomile.

Taking Nourished Nerves

Nourished Nerves is a gentle and calming herbal blend designed to support women before, during and after pregnancy to help promote relaxation and easy into a sound night's rest. Why a tincture? Tinctures are easy to incorporate into your routine. Nourished Nerves comes in a convenient, 2 oz bottle with dropper and can be taken with you on the go or left on your bedside table. It mixes well in to cold or hot beverages, or can be taken directly on the tongue!

Mix into water

Mix into hot water
or your favorite tea
with a squeeze of lemon

Place directly on your tongue.
Tip: Clean the dropper if it comes into
direct contact with your mouth
before placing back into the bottle
to avoid contamination

Frequently Asked Questions

WHY IS THE SERVING SIZE AND HOW MANY SERVINGS ARE IN THE BOTTLE?

The serving size is 1.4 ml or approximately 2 dropperfuls. Each 2-ounce bottle has approximately 42 servings.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE THIS?

1 serving (2 individual squeezes of the dropper bulb) 1-3 times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner. If you need more sleep support, Nourished Nerves can be taken as 2 droppersful 1 hour before bedtime and 1 droppersful just before bedtime or if you wake during the night. Alternative dosing strategeis may be recommendaed by your qualified herbalist or health practitioner.

WHY DO YOU INCLUDE ALCOHOL IN THE TINCTURE?

The alcohol is needed to help extract the supportive herbal constituents from the herbs and to help preserve the formula. Ultimately, Nourished Nerves contains less alcohol than most breads, juices, and ripe bananas. We also use organic glycerin, derived from flaxseed to extract the constituents from the herbs.
