The Science Behind Our Fertility Booster

Advanced antioxidant support for optimal egg and sperm quality*

Did you know that the foundation for healthy, fertile eggs and sperm begins well before conception? In fact, those vital egg follicles and immature sperm take shape over a three-month journey and can be influenced and optimized by antioxidants. For women, the journey results in the show's star—the dominant follicle—which eventually becomes the egg ovulated. For men, the journey of maturation impacts sperm quality, shape, and its ability to travel efficiently to the egg. So, giving your body the extra nourishment it deserves at least 3-6 months before conceiving is wise. This is where our Fertility Booster steps in.

Certain antioxidants have been studied for how they interplay with hormone pathways and support egg and sperm development.* We’ve spent years building upon this science to offer a targeted antioxidant blend for men and women that boosts egg and sperm quality, supporting the body’s free radical defenses, and maintaining DNA integrity.*

How Oxidative Stress Impacts Fertility

Oxidative stress is an imbalance of free radicals and antioxidants in the body. Free radicals are unstable atoms that can damage cells. Eggs and sperm are susceptible to damage from oxidative stress, so upping your intake of antioxidants via food and supplements can help combat this. It’s also essential to fully address sources of oxidative stress in every aspect of your life. You can do this by quitting tobacco, pulling back on drinking, improving the air quality in your home, filtering tap water, moving regularly, eating a colorful, well-varied, antioxidant-rich diet, and choosing supplements that provide a hefty dose of antioxidants.

Understanding the Vital Role of Antioxidants in Fertility

Antioxidants hold a special place in supporting male and female fertility by strengthening the body's defenses against harmful free radicals. Consider the development of eggs – a process called folliculogenesis – that occurs many months before ovulation. During this phase, an essential antioxidant called glutathione shields eggs from oxidative harm. For men, semen and sperm rely on glutathione to create a key part of sperm mitochondria (aka the energy-producing powerhouse of the cell). Low glutathione levels can compromise egg quality and sperm motility. Antioxidants promoting glutathione production, like NAC, CoQ10, and Alpha Lipoic Acid, can support cell membrane structure and function.*
