An anti-inflammatory recipe to nourish fertility

An anti-inflammatory recipe to nourish fertility

Stress is an extremely broad term used to describe many issues affecting mental and emotional health, how you feel physically, and on a micro level, the general inflammation in your body. So much of your general health and wellness is impacted by various forms of stress, and generally speaking, it is all detrimental to the reproductive health of both you and your partner.

This is by design!

Unfortunately, your body will always prioritize its other, more immediate needs over fertility during times of stress, which is why we highly recommend looking at lifestyle changes you can make to mitigate and manage stress levels and improve sleep. Especially in today's hectic environment, all of us could use any nervous system support we can get. That's why we're highlighting one of our favorite soothing evening recipes for those trying to conceive OR recovering postpartum. *Do note that some of the ingredients in this warming beverage are contraindicated during pregnancy, so this one is specifically for those at either end of the fertility journey.
Enjoy this anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic recipe together in the evenings during preconception or postpartum to help try to ease nerves, promote sleep, and boost fertility.

Ingredients

Frontier Co-Op is a great source to look to for dry, loose herbs to use in your own at-home recipes. Like us, they perform third-party testing and in-house heavy metal testing. Many of their products are certified organic, but be sure to check individual products on a case by case basis.

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ashwagandha root powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ceylon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey/maple syrup/or blend mixture with 1-2 dates
  • dash of cardamom
  • 8-10 oz milk of choice already heated (the powders mix better into warm milk)

Directions

  • Whisk together or pulse in a blender (and if you wanted to get really fancy, you could froth your milk with a frothing wand)
  • Enjoy as you relax!
