Healthcare Equity in Obstetrics & Gynecology with Dr. Carla Williams
Dr. Carla Williams is a New York-based board-certified OB/GYN, integrative women’s healthcare provider, and doula. Her diverse background and experience growing up led her to complete medical school in Santiago, Dominican Republic at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, moving on to her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in the Bronx, New York. She currently practices out of Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital in Westchester County, New York and is an active diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Carla joins us to tell her own personal story of why she decided to become a doula in addition to being an OBGYN. Like us, she believes in empowering her patients with informed choice in hopes of providing a joyful birthing experience.
